MESSAGES FROM THE ADMINISTRATION TEAM
As we begin this new term, we want to remind everyone of our 4 school values; Care for our Environment, Care for Self, Care for Learning and Care for others.
Let's remember that each day is an opportunity to learn and grow, and that we all have the potential to achieve great things. Let's work together to make this term a successful and fulfilling one. We're excited to see what our students will accomplish.
Outside School Hours Care – Tender Process
Under the current OSHC terms and conditions, OSHC service agreements with commercial providers have a maximum term of nine (9) years. It is a requirement of the Department of Education that a commercial service must be competitively tendered at a minimum of every nine (9) years. This provides a competitive opportunity for all Providers on the Pre-qualified Panel of Providers of OSHC Services (PQP101234) to tender for services when an agreement term has ended. Regular testing of the market for OSHC services, via public tender, is conducted to ensure that schools continue to achieve the best possible outcome for students and users of the service.
Our current agreement with Camp Australia to provide outside of school hours care ends at the end of the current school year.
Facilities Upgrade
As part of our school infrastructure plan our Junior Amenities block was refurbished over the Easter Holiday period. The refurbished amenities block was back in use from Monday of Week 2. There have been lots of compliments from the junior students that it is a much lighter space and is no longer dark and gloomy.
F Block (Computer Lab) also received an exterior paint. This has freshened up the building making it now uniform with the exterior colours of the other buildings in the school.

Absences
Don’t forget to get in touch with us to let us know if your child will be away from school for any reason. Leave us a message on the absence line, 54 808 222, and we will ensure your child’s attendance record is updated without having to call you to check in to ensure all is well.
Uniform Expectations
Our Year 6 students are leading the way with correct uniforms. Congratulations to the year 6 students who have been setting a great example for our students to follow. As the cooler mornings are well on their way, please ensure your child has the correct school jumper, navy or black tracksuit pants, and students may also wear tights under their shorts or skorts to keep warm.
ANZAC Day
Our school service was held on Monday 24th March. Despite the drizzle on the morning of our school service, our school leaders conducted themselves superbly and we thank our special guests Mr Denis Thompson from the Cooroy Pomona RSL, Mr Tim McNamara and P&C President Kate Masters for joining us to remember the sacrifice of our Service Men and Women.
A wonderful turn out of students and their families represented our school at the ANZAC Day march in Cooroy. We had 42 students march and attend the service.
